Keep the Home Fires Burning - Wind and Words of World War I
Remembrance Sunday, which falls on the 13th November, is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. To bring our Westminster community together in remembrance of all those who lost their lives in the Great War, Westminster Music Library held a moving recital of poetry and music which was written and composed during the conflict. Clarinettist Chris Hooker and poet Valerie Fry united the evocative elegies and melodies of The First World War in a moving tribute to those who died during the conflict, a tribute which visibly moved our community, and one which we were honoured to support.
