Music and Sweet Poetry is a piano recital of music from the 16th century up to the 20th century, covering a range of composers and genres of music. The accompanying poetry also crosses five centuries written by poets who have been inspired by music including many poems about composers who feature in the programme including Handel, Schubert, Schumann, Faure and Gershwin. The poets include Richard Barnfield, Walter de la Mer, DH Lawrence and WH Auden.
